Fall 2017

Herndon, VA

We held the 7th Annual Open Source Digital Forensics Conference (OSDFCon) on October 26, 2016 and are now planning next years event.  The presentations from this years event are available as are the Autopsy module submissions.

The single-day event focuses exclusively on open source digital forensics tools and allows attendees to learn about new software. The short talks are packed with information and present a unique opportunity to learn about new (often free) tools and provide feedback directly to developers.

The annual conference is free for government attendees and also offers hands-on workshops and Autopsy training.

We are currently getting ready for the next conference.  Here is what you can do:

  • Sign up for email updates to ensure you are reminded to register.
  • Start working on your Autopsy module for next years competition.  See last years page for details.

Investigators should attend to learn about new tools and meet the developers building the software. Developers should attend to raise awareness of your efforts and get feedback from your users. As in past years, the event is free for government employees. Register here to attend.

We look forward to seeing you at OSDFCon 2017!
